Mayra Torres completed her Elementary and Middle School in Juarez, she graduated from Jefferson High School in 2014 and proceeded her education at the University of Texas at El Paso where she attained her B.A. in Early Childhood Bilingual Education. She has been teaching at La Fe Preparatory School since 2019 as the 5th grade Science component. As the Science teacher, her goal is to “Allow students to become masters of the language by not forgetting their roots and not to fear the English language.” She wants our students to be comfortable in the classroom and be confident that they will be able to achieve their dreams and goals!

Ms. Torres loves to travel and learn about different cultures with the company of her friends and family, she also loves rainy days and cold weather, she has an admirable love for cats and teaching.
